Began with beautiful Parade Dance - by our own staffs showing that differences actually add colour in our lives (Choreo by Lidia S. ). After the Official Opening Ceremony, Children Collosal Dance and talent show were upnext. Feel completed when BRC Choir sang '..in the jungle the mighty jungle the lion sleeps tonight, amimbaweb amimbaweb.." Thanks to Felix for such a beautiful harmony....

I saw outside, none..... Lely said im crazy....but I truly truly want to see it in my own eyes. ...Any how, if it happens..where are we going? hide or run? ... They said its totally harmless, well quite harmless though. 28km/h winds....itu seberapa cepat ya"

What is water sprout?

A waterspout is an intense columnar vortex (usually appearing as a funnel-shaped that occurs over body of water and is connected to a cumuliformcloud. In the common form, it is a nonsupercell tornado over water, and brings the water upward. It is weaker than most of its land counterparts.

Seen in Singapore - May 26 == SINGAPORE is a very sheltered country. There are no natural disasters, no wars, no strikes, no historical relics to be proud of. Therefore, its citizens will get excited whenever there are any rare phenomenons or special events,. When there is tremor, everyone shouts "earthquake" and when there is free fireworks, everyone rus to see. Yesterday afternoon, at about 2.30pm, people sighted another rare phenomenon at the water of East Coast - a Tornado Water Sprout. Photos started to flood in Channel NewsAsia and videos to YouTube. Water Sprout is a common sight in Singapore, probably several times a year. It happens due to intense thunder storm, according to National Environment Agency (NEA).

"SINGAPORE: A waterspout has been spotted from the eastern parts of Singapore.

Most callers to the MediaCorp News Hotline reported seeing what looked like a tornado or a twister over the sea. Most said they saw the phenomenon at about 2.30pm and that the phenomenon lasted about 15 minutes. Witnesses said it was moving in a circular motion. The waterspout could be seen in several areas including Chai Chee, East Coast Park, Suntec City and Potong Pasir."

TANJUNGPINANG, TRIBUN - Artis Ruth Sahanaya tampil memukau sejumlah investor saat melantunkan sejumlah hits utamanya di acara peletakkan batu pertama pembangunan proyek Lagoi Bay (Teluk Lagoi) di kawasan wisata internasional Lagoi, Kabupaten Bintan, Jumat (10/5) malam. Sejumlah hits dilantunkan oleh artis yang akrab disapa dengan Uthe ini. Di antaranya Kaulah Segalanya. Memakai baju serba putih, Uthe malam itu tampil dua kali. Setelah melantunkan sekitar lima lagu di acara peletakkan batu pertama, kemudian ia berjalan menuju panggung hiburan yang berjarak sekitar 200 meter dari tempat pertama. Di situ kembali Uthe melantunkan sejumlah lagi, tidak saja untuk para investor, tetapi juga kepada sekitar ratusan pengunjung malam itu.

Tak hanya Uthe yang membuat acara peletakkan batu pertama Lagoi Bay malam itu meski formal tapi jauh dari kesan kaku. Pemain harpa Maya Hasan dan disk jockey (DJ) Kattie juga ikut menghibur. Maya memainkan harpanya sebelum acara dimulai, sementara Kattie, menjadi MC penandatanganan MoU yang melibatkan delapan investor, termasuk dari Amerika, Thailand, dan Eropa itu. Acara peletakkan batu pertama itu selain dihadiri oleh Vice Presiden PT BRC Chin Cow Yoon, juga dihadiri oleh Gubernur Kepri Ismeth Abdullah, Bupati Bintan Ansar Ahmad, dan Ketua DPRD Bintan Dalmasri Syam.

Mengusung konsep putih-putih, selain Uthe, seluruh hadirian yang

datang pada malam itu juga mengenakan pakaian serba putih. Terkait MoU proyect Lagoi Bay, sebenarnya sudah ada 12 investor menurut Vice Presiden PT BRC Chin yang tertarik berinvestasi. Tapi malam itu baru delapan investor yang melakukan MoU. Total nilai investasi mencapai USS 45 juta atau sekitar Rp 252 miliar.‘’Ini merupakan langkah awal untuk pengembangan kawasan pariwisata Lagoi untuk masa mendatang,’’ kata Chin yang didampingi oleh Direktur BRC Gunawan Adiwibowo. Adapun total lahan yang tersedia untuk proyek Lagoi Bay itu mencakup areal sekitar 1.300 hektar.

Chin menjelaskan bahwa masih ada areal lahan yang tersedia untuk berinvestasi di proyek ini. Lagoi Bay sendiri adalah proyek paling mutakhir yang diluncurkan oleh BRC selaku pengelola kawasan pariwisata internasional Lagoi. Sebelumnya sudah ada sekitar tujuh resort besar dilengkapi dengan sejumlah lapangan golf bertaraf internasional.

Dinamakan Lagoi Bay, karena letak kawasan ini yang berada di tengah areal wisata Lagoi yang melingkupi sekitar puluhan ribu hektar lahan. Kawasan Lagoi Bay berada persis di tengah teluk. Selain itu, di areal kawasan juga ada sebuah danau. Para investor dibebaskan untuk memilih investasinya, termasuk mengembangkan villa tipe kecil. Konsep pembangunan akan disesuaikan dengan selera investor. Sebelumnya proyek ini juga sudah diluncurkan di Singapura. (aji)

Disana juga sempet2in lihat pelepasan penyu... wah baru nyadar Laguna Phuket gede sekalii.... tau gitu dari kemarin2 nyobain semua pool nya. Hari terakhir maksa deh, mesti ke kuil nya... Ke Thailand tapi ga ke temple nya yg khas, rasanya rugi bgt.

Semoga foto2nya meng cover acara nya, soalnya kebanyakan di video in….Awalnya ga niat kesini tapi pas liat poster nya dan banner nya jadi tertarik juga.. Ngelepas penyu bareng Gubernur nya Phuket, kedeengeran nya keren kan?? :D It’s an annual Event as part of Earth Day.... (huhuhu jadi inget).

Acaranya digelar gede2an tgl 28/3 selama dua jam...di pantai BangTao di area Sheraton Hotel. Diliput stasiun tv juga..Kita bisa donate 2000 Baht sekitar 600rb an …. biar bisa ngelepas our own bayi turtle (panjang 20cm, udah gede2) yg cuma ada 70 ekor.Kita bisa ngikutin lomba sand sculpture, game2 di setiap sudut, bead bracelet making, fancy candle making. sama t shirt painting…ada banyak sih ga inget… ada juga counter2 yg jual healthy and natural drink..di sallah satu sudut ada exhibition ttg kondisi penyu diseluruh dunia (pake banner2 kaya punya kita),dari pihak hotel mereka jual kaos2 bertuliskan go green, earth day, global warming, sama baju dan pernak pernik penyu,,, harga sekitar 500 Baht lebih.

Seremonialnya rame ada tari2an dan iring2an kenegaraan (pada pake baju dinas), dan deretan anak2 kecil berkostum penyu..GM dan Miss Teen Thailand juga ikut dalam iring2an, ada GM nya Banyan Tree-Bintan juga.. MC nya explain kalau mereka pasang tag di setiap punya biar bisa di control posisi dan keadaan nya..

Btw semua profit will go towards the sea turtle conservation programmes (Phuket Marine Biological Centre) dan Royal Thai Navy...Gedubrak,, artinya dipake utk perang ya… :D Gak sampai habis ngikutin acara nya karena panas euy…

Over all... ga tega d ... penyu nya dipajang dua jam diluar

" ETD and CMD bonding has just finished minutes earlier. Jagung bakar and dangdut dominated the event. A pity CMD personnel came late when the show have passed half way. But no worries as dangdut goes on until 8 o'clock. Edy Wardoyo (pictured below Bernard's one here) led the organizing committee. And considering that he is a new staff, the event should be applauded, and was better than last year's bonding at the Fire Station. A glimpse of the hunger here..".
